Wednesday, December 2, Constanta County Council representatives, the mayor of Medgidia and representatives of the PSD and PNL Medgidia organizations have formally launched the program of rehabilitation works and asphalting of the DJ 381, with a distance of 13.2 per section Ciocarlia de Sus – Valea Dacilor - Medgidia.

County road has a financial investment amounting to 24.451,97 thousand RON from Constanta County Council, through the program called by its originators the “Modernization and total asphalting of county roads - from 2009 to 2012”.

According to the declaration of Mr. Edmund Piess, Lafarge CEO, financial support from the factory will be worth 1 million euros. “The section of road is also crossed by heavy transport means that we use in our production”, said Mr. Edmund Piess. “As long as our contribution helps Medgidia community, this honors us” said Mr. Edmund Piess.

DJ 381 has been constantly under supervision from the County Roads and Bridges Agency in Constanta, and annual maintenance works and asphalt repairs were executed. However, increased freight transports in the area lately have led to a more serious degradation of the section of road, one more difficult to repair.

“The financing program, which we started this year, includes this county road, which will feature a full program of rehabilitation and restoration of asphalt”, said Mr. Nicu?or Constantinescu, Constanta County Council Chairman. “We welcome and appreciate the contribution of Lafarge Plant and appreciate the unconditional involvement of its representatives in the social, civic and economic life of the local community”.

“The investment of the county council will provide a safer traffic, especially during the summer season, providing a welcomed alternative to drivers. But investment is all the more extraordinary when we consider that, while governments reduce the level of investment at the country level, the public authority of Constanta County has the willingness and ability to make such an investment. Congratulations and thank you” said Medgidia Mayor, Mr. Marian Iordache.

If the work will evolve according to the scheduled time frame, DJ 381 county road rehabilitation will be completed by March 1, 2010.

Buna ziua, sunt din Brasov anul acesta vreau sa merg la mare si doresc sa ocolesc aglomeratia din Constanta. Cum este drumul pe ruta prin Medgidia pe 381 --> Valea Dacilor --> Ciocarlia de sus 308 Lanurile --> Mereni --> 391 Topraisar --> E675 Amzacea --> 392 Pecineaga --> 392 Vanatori --> Mangalia ? Este aglomerat? Este reparat drumul? Cam cati Km sunt? Va rog sa imi raspundeti. Va multumesc pentru atentie va doresc sanatate si bafta!
